The 4th annual Taste of Brews summer craft beer festival took place on Saturday, August 23, at Lighthouse Park in Long Beach, CA.  In the midst of California’s worst drought season yet, responsible attendees kept hydrated on unlimited pours of seasonal, craft and micro-brews while enjoying the sea, the sun, and the shoreline.

Crowds gathered near their favorite tried-and-true brews, but new breweries stole the spotlight for many avid aficionados, who spent their time sampling new variations of classics, but also tasting new styles of beers. The West Coast Session Ale, a light summer beer, proved to be a crowd pleaser, offering up all the flavor we all love in its stronger, older sibling.

Having sold far more tickets than in previous years, it was no doubt that many of the favored breweries emptied their kegs well before the event was over. Great times were had by all, and TOB proved, once again, to be a festival worth its weight in brews.
